Ozark MudLife is hiring a Dirt Road Tour Guide with a heart and passion for adventure. If you love the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest, have experience with dirt road driving, and want to get paid to do the thing you love, this is the job for you!  

We are hiring adventurers who are energetic and friendly with a tread lightly mindset. A guide provides a fun and safe tour for our clients. This tour will consist of water crossings, minimal rock crawling, occasional mud, and sightseeing. You will aid in recoveries, spot checking while approaching technical places, and first aid when needed.  

Responsibilities:  

Conduct tours in a professional manner. 

On and off-road driving skills.  

General understanding of our permits and operating plan 

Daily Vehicle Inspections 

Willingness to learn local history and plant life. 

Ability to drive in all seasons (wet, snow, dry, etc) 

Continuous learning and ongoing education are available. 

Ability to take constructive feedback in a respectful manner and apply it.  

Positive, friendly, and professional attitude in all interactions with clients, fellow employees, competitors, and management.  

Qualifications:  

25+ years old

Defensive driving skills 

Driver’s license must be clear of major moving violations 

Team player 

Self-motivated 

Outdoor enthusiast 

Good problem-solving skills. 

Understands and obeys tread-lightly rules.  

Essential Physical Requirements  

Repetitive motion involves:  

Climbing in and out of your rig 

Reaching overhead and across at chest level 

Bending from the waist 

Able to handle inclement and extreme weather.  

Able to work up to 10 hours per day (inspections, tours, cleaning) 

Able to walk on dirt trails and uneven ground which could include rock formations and structures.  

Able to speak and hear clearly to provide client instructions. 

Must be trained in CPR/First Aid 

Ability to remain calm and effective when dealing with medical emergencies. 

Maintain efficient, daily contact and adequate radio communication with clients and fellow guides.  

Safely operate your rig through challenging traffic, various Forest Service roads, in all types of weather conditions.  

$120 full day tour 

$90 half day tour
$1.20 per mile (Gas & Maintenance)
